Which AI is the best in daily tasks?
A note before I start doing anything: by AI chatbot some people know it as a generative AI assistant or an LLM(large language model). How you want to call it is entirely up to you I just want to be clear when it comes to this.
Whether you are someone that is using AI in a daily basis or not it is important to know which AI chatbot is the best and quickest, with the best reponses when it comes to daily tasks.
What I mean by daily tasks ? Here is what I mean:
When it comes to Information and Explanation:
- Asking simple questions about a person, building, etc.
- Normal academic questions regarding simple stuff(not including math).
- Summarization or simplification.
- Fact-finding.
When it comes to Content Creation and Editing:
- Drafting
- Editing
- Ideation(Give me 10 name ideas for a tech statup.)
The examples are plenty but let’s get to the comparison. I will divide everything how it already is: First it’s Information and Explanation and then Content Creation and Editing. Just for the sake of it I will also include Coding and Technical Support.
1. Information, Explanation, and Deep Reasoning
The technical frontier here is defined by test-time compute scaling, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipeline integration, and non-saturated benchmarks like GPQA Diamond and Humanity’s Last Exam (HLE).\
- Claude Mythos 5 & Opus 4.8: Anthropic currently dominates complex logical reasoning. Mythos5 leads highly igorous HLE benchmark at 64.5%. These models utilize advanced dynamic reasoning tokens (test-time compute), meaning the MoE router dynamically allocates more computational overhead to generate internal “thought” trajectories before emitting a final token sequence.
- Gemini 3.1 Pro: It achieves 94.3% on GPQA Diamond (PhD-level physics, chemistry, and biology). A major architectural differentiatior is its native multimodal encoding layer. Instead of relying on intermediate Python scripts to parse data, Gemini directly map ingested datasets into structured vector representations, allowing it to synthesize complex queries and output native data visualizations dynamically.
- *GPT 5.5 Pro: OpenAI’s flagship remains the enterprise standard for parallel RAG pipelines. It boasts exceptionally low TTFT (Time To First Token) for its parameter size and features highly reliable function calling, making it the most stable model for querying massive, highly structured vector databases.
- *A new personal favourite contender: Lumo 2.0 Max by Proton: Released in late June 2026, Lumo 2.0 Max introduces a new “Thinking” mode for multi-step reasoning. While Proton claims a 240% performance jump over Lumo 1.4 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, its true differentiator is that it guarantees verifiable privacy via zero-access encryption. It also features live web search with source citations for accurate information retrieval, making it ideal when you need deep reasoning on highly sensitive data. Why its my favourite ? Because it does what I need it to do at the level of other paid models. Yes there is a limit but I rarely exceed it which makes it ideal for me!.
2. Content Creationg and Context Engineering.
Writing requires a model to understand nuance, follow strict formatting constraints, and maintain a natural tone over long documents.
- Anthtorpic (Claude Opus 4.8 & Sonnet 5): Claude is widely considered the gold standard for writing. Anthropic’s aggressive Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) helps the model avoid the typical synthetic “AI tone.” With a 1-million-token context window and near-perfect retrieval accuracy, you can drop in entire books for structural editing.
- *OpenAI(GPT 5.5) While its raw prose can sometimes lean toward predictable patterns, GPT-5.5 features the most rigid adherence to JSON-mode and structured outputs, making it the most reliable tool for deterministic content pipelines and API integrations.
- Proton(Lumo 2.0 Max): For content creation, Lumo 2.0 introduced “Custom Lumos” and user-controled “Memory” tied to encrypted projects. This allowes one to build specialized writing assistants that remember your preferred tone and formatting instructions across sessions, all while ensuring your drafts are stored locally and encrypted.
- Alibaba (Qwen 3.7 Max): In the open-weight space, Qwen is the undisputed leader for multilingual content, scoring an outstanding 94.0 on the IFFeval benchmark and handling over 100 languages fluently.
3. Coding and Technical Support.
Here I decided to write the comparison based on the SWE-bench Pro and Terminal-Bench 2.1, which test a models ability to autonomously navigate repositories, execute terminal commands, and avoid test regressions in real-wrold environments.\
- Anthropic (Claude Opus 4.8): The top of the top when it comes to agentic coding. It leads active models with ~69.2% success rate on SWE-bench Pro. It exccels at architectural reasoning across multi-file repositories and can autonomoously manage bash environments and iteratively debug its own code(kinda ironic ngl).
- OpenAI (GPT 5.5 & 5.4 xHigh): Deeply entranched in the developer ecosystem. OpenAI’s models are heavily optimized for asynchronous orchestration. They excel when plugged into framworks like the Vrcel AI SDK to manage CI/CD agent loops and automated pull request reviews.
- Google (Gemini 3.5 Flash): For pure throughput, Gemini 3.5 Flash is heavily utilized by developers for high-volume, automated agent loops because it is incredibly fast (often exceeding 100+ tokens per second) and cheap, making it the engine of choice for real-time autocomplete extensions.
- Proton(Lumo 2.0 Max): While not explicitly marked as an autonomous coding agent, Lumo 2.0 Max is positioned for developers who want frontier-level coding assistance securely. It provides a secure alternative for analyzing proprietary code snipets ot debugging sensitive infrastructure configurations.
In conclusion: If you are just looking for the smartest possible model right now, Claude is the winner. If you are deeply integrated into enterprise workflows, GPT-5.5 is the standard. If you want speed, use Gemini. If you are handling sensitive code or personal data and want a frontier-level assistant that will not train on your inputs, Lumo 2.0 Max is the strongest choice.
